Signups:
On Monday, Aug 28th, 2023, 6:30 PM at Birchman Baptist Church gym we will have a Basketball information / signup meeting. All players and at least one parent are required to attend. For questions, please contact our Director David Manning.
Teams:
The PT Warriors plan to have 7 teams for the 2023-2024 season: Varsity Boys & Girls (18U), Junior Varsity Boys (16U), 14U Boys & Girls, and 12U Boys & Girls.
Coaches:
All of our coaches and assistant coaches are great, they love the Lord, love kids, and do a great job! More than half of our coaches received a college basketball scholarship and / or played at the college level. We are blessed!
Don Boen, Head HS Boys Coach has been a part of the Warriors several years now. He brings 40+ years of coaching at the varsity boy’s level of a large public school before retiring. Coach Boen led our 18U boys team to a 2nd Place finish at the 2022 National Home School Championship finals and our 18U girls team to a top 10 Nationals finish in 2016. Multiple players from his teams have gone on to play college basketball. He has been the Warriors Varsity Boys head coach since 2017 and his teams are always competitive. He, along with his 3 adult age sons played basketball in college so he understands that level from a player as well as a parent. He has a tremendous passion to share basketball and life examples with his players. He is surrounded with some great assistant coaches that understand the game and work very well together.
Jenny Woodward, Head HS Girls Coach has been with the Warriors several years and has a passion for the game. She excelled in high school basketball at a large public Texas school and went on to play college basketball. She understands the skills required to play the game at a high level.
Game Information:
No Wednesday night or Sunday games . Our games are played in the DFW area vs. some of the top teams in Home School, Private Schools, and some Public Schools. We generally play in the District, Regional, and State home school tournaments and some of our teams go to the National Tournament in Springfield, MO. In addition, we enter other local tournaments.
