VISION:  As an organization Parker-Tarrant Home School Sports seeks to raise up the next generation of passionate disciples for Jesus Christ through the venue of competitive team athletics MISSION:  Parker-Tarrant Home School Sports exists to promote and accomplish sports education for the Texas Home School student in a Christian environment. With a focus primarily in the Parker County and West Tarrant County areas of North Texas, the organization’s objective is to provide a competitive environment for middle school and high school sports competition that is not normally provided by traditional home school organizations or support groups. PTHSS desires to accomplish this goal in a way that both works alongside the parents and honors Jesus Christ. PTHSS Annual Membership / Information Meeting Held on June 2 PTHSS held their annual member meeting and information session on Tuesday, June 2 beginning. Topics discussed in the meeting included: Proposed changes for the coming year Board / Officer Information Review of Organization Guidelines Member Recommendations / Suggestions for 2009 / 2010 New Member Question & Answer Sign-ups / information sessions for volleyball and football Information session and new member sign-ups for basketball and baseball For those not able to attend, the presentation material is available on our Organization Page. Off-season is the time to hone and improve your skills. Practice weekly, if not daily. Get involved in Summer and/or fall programs. Check back with us periodically, as we attempt to provide some camp / work-out opportunities during the summer and fall. Off Season - The Warriors are currently holding informal Saturday morning practice sessions. We also expect to conduct a more intensive Saturday workshop some time in September and team sign-ups / try-outs will be held in October. To Baseball Page PTHSS Basketball Registration is on August 24!  Join us on Monday, August 24 at Birchman Baptist Church in West Fort Wort to sign-up for Warriors basketball. Information will be provided on practice and game schedules, cost, and PTHSS eligibility requirements. PTHSS will be hosting at least the following teams this year:  18 & Under Boys 18 & Under Girls 14 & Under Boys Practices & Games: Practices will begin in early September. Games will begin in late October and will continue into March 2010. Practices are normally held at Birchman Baptist Church in West Fort Worth, with games played around the Metroplex. To Basketball Page Introducing!! PT Lady Warriors Middle School Volleyball!Great news for your young volleyball players! Fort the first time we are offering Middle School Volleyball for girls in 6th - 8th grade. This program is in addition to our normal JV and Varsity teams. Regular Season Begins!  The Varsity and JV regular season begins on August 18 with games against Nazerene Christian. Middle School games begin later in the month. Practices are normally held on Monday, Tuesdays, and Thursdays or Fridays (depending on the game schedule). The Lady Warriors use both Birchman Baptist Church and Willow Park Baptist Church for practice sessions. To Volleyball Page Football PT Warriors Six Man Football is getting ready to kick-off its second season. This year we are expanding our program to include a Junior High team! Regular Season Begins on Saturday, August 22 with both middle school and high school games against Harvest Christian Academy.  Games continue through early September with a home school "Ironman" Tournament in San Antonio, Texas Practices are normally held on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at Birchman Baptist Church.
